Summa Baker caught this 147 lb boar in Waipoua Forest, famous for Tane Mahuta — New Zealand’s 2,000-year-old Kauri tree.
The boar gave itself away when Summa spotted its footprints on her possum trap line. She came back with her dogs, and her Border Collie Charm stopped it in its tracks long enough for the rest of the pack to arrive.
Summa described this one as tough and nasty — a real handful.
