Summa Baker caught this 147 lb boar in Waipoua Forest, famous for Tāne Mahuta, New Zealand’s 2,000 year old Kauri tree.
The boar gave itself away when Summa spotted footprints on her possum trap line. She came back with her dogs, and her Border Collie, Charm, stopped it in its tracks long enough for the rest of the pack to arrive. Summa described this one as tough and nasty - a real handful.
